TIME FRAME
The ratio of TB patients in the country is being increasing day by day due to malnutrition, unawareness of health problems, consuming illicit liquor by the folks, too much use of insecticide in the harvests, vegetables and fruits. There are so many other factors by which TB disease is extending day by day. In the first phase we are working on ten-years Plan to eradicate the TB in Uttarakhand. For this purpose, every effort is being worked out.
FORMATION OF ASSOCIATIONS AT VILLAGE LEVEL AND TAKING HELP FROM NGO & OTHER ORGANISATIONS GOVT. ETC.
Uttarakhand TB association is making all efforts for forming the associations at Village, Tehsil, and district level so that people across of the all communities can be educated with the consequences of T.B. among them if they do not care about this. TBAUK has prepared the literature and it is being distribution in all the districts of Uttarakhand to make aware of such hazardous disease and its procedure of treatment. The association is making contact with various NGOs, Associations and various other Organizations and Govt. Organizations in connection with to make the request to them for helping the association by their support both financially and morally.
ACTIVITIES BEING EXECUTED/PERFORMED
T.B. Association of Uttarakhand, presently running from its registered Office at 70, Vikas Lok, Lane No. 3, Sahashtradhara Road, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Due to scarcity of funds very few staff has been appointed for running its activities with the guidance of its Chairperson Smt. Mata Mangla Ji. This Association is planning to recruit more staff and volunteers in the near future on availability of funds. We have coordinators in all the 13 districts and we are planning to appoint proper staff under the coordinators, for each district and making all of them well equipped with the Medicine for treatment of TB Patients and literature. Presently our association is selling TB Seals received from Tuberculosis Association of India on payment basis in line with to generate funds for promotion of the Association. Due to effort made in respect of promotion of activities of the association a certificate for exemption of Income Tax has been obtained from Income Tax Department which will help the association in getting donations from donors. Anti TB Drives are being carried out through organizing medical camps on Tuberculosis.
